This portrait of a Sumatran tiger is part of my original watercolor painting of three tigers. I think the Sumatran tiger deserves its own portrait illustration along with a handmade watercolor texture to bring out the foreground. The Sumatran tiger is critically endangered, there are only 400 left in the wild (source, WWF). Their numbers are dropping fast with the deforestation and poaching on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. Even though they are in the protection area they are still being poached.
